The Blessing of God’s Correction

April 16, 2025

Our bible study this evening is titled “The Blessing of God’s Correction”. Our key scriptures are Proverbs 3:11-12, Job 5:17, Hebrews 12:6.

Proverbs 3:11-12 beautifully highlights the blessing of God’s correction, teaching us that His discipline is not meant to harm but to guide us in love. “My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline, and do not resent His rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those He loves, as a father the son He delights in.” Just as a loving parent corrects their child to protect them from harm and lead them toward wisdom, God intervenes in our lives to refine us and keep us on the right path. Though discipline may feel difficult in the moment, embracing it with a humble heart allows us to experience spiritual growth, deeper faith, and the peace that comes from knowing we are cherished by our Creator. His correction is a gift that molds us into the people He intends us to be, drawing us closer to Him in trust and obedience.

Join us this evening as Pastor Kip Wright facilitates the Bible study on The Blessing of God’s Correction; discussing and reflecting on how God’s correction is an expression of His deep care for us.
