This evening at bible study, we will continue on in our study series, Abraham: Friend of God, Father of Faith. We’ll be discussing Part 13 – The Legacy of Faith in Family. Our reference text is Genesis 23-24.
Genesis 23–24 beautifully illustrates the enduring legacy of faith within a family, as seen through Abraham’s unwavering trust in God and his desire to pass that faith on to the next generation.
Abraham’s faith shaped his family’s future. God extended His grace to Abraham by choosing him to be the progenitor of a new race. Abraham believed in God and His promises, patiently endured the trial of his faith and aligning himself with God’s lifestyle until God’s plan and promises became a reality. This left a faith legacy not only to Abraham’s natural descendants but also to his spiritual family – Read Romans 4:16–17 KJV.
