Join us this evening at bible study as we continue on in our study series, Abraham: Friend of God, Father of Faith. We’ll be looking into Part 4 – The God Who Fights for Us. Our reference text is Genesis 14.
We all encounter various battles in life. Sometimes we face battles we don’t even know about – spiritual, physical, emotional, or financial. The Bible reassures us that God is our defender, and victory is assured when we trust in Him. Throughout Scripture, God reveals Himself as Yahweh Sabaoth, the Lord of Hosts, the commander of heaven’s armies, the One who is mighty to save and who fights on behalf of His people. This divine attribute is vital for understanding His nature.
As we continue in our character study of Abraham in Genesis 14, we see an inspiring example of courageous faith that necessitates divine intervention. Abraham’s daring rescue of Lot demonstrates not only faith in action but also highlights God’s warrior nature and His commitment to fight for His children and those who trust in Him.
