The command “give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His love endures forever” is repeated 44 times in the bible. The word of God tells us to be “thankful in everything, in all circumstances” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

When we find ourselves overwhelmed with burdens, trials, persecutions, difficulties in life, worried about tomorrow, we can give thanks and praise God for who He is and His promise to never leave us nor forsake us even in that situation we find ourselves. This state of mind will keep us hopeful, humble and focus on our ultimate goal in life, which is to make heaven and reign with Christ forever.
