Our bible study this evening is titled “Keeping the Fire Burning”. Our reference text is Leviticus 6:12-13.
After such a powerful and life-changing experience at our retreat, many of us are burning with fresh passion for God! But how do we keep that fire alive in the days and weeks ahead?
In Leviticus 6:12-13, God commands that the fire on the altar must be kept burning continously – it must never go out. This perpetual fire represents the sacredness of the altar, the enduring presence of God and the unwavering devotion expected from God’s people. It’s a powerful reminder for us to not let our spiritual fire flicker. It must be kept alive with daily acts of faith and devotion.
