Youth Reaching Up (YRU) is the official youth ministry of Agape House of Worship; it focuses on the care and Christian education of teens and young adults from middle school to first-year college students. This ministry typically holds classes on Sunday separate from the main church with the aim of teaching the youth more about God and Christianity in a style that’s fresh and relatable.

Apart from Sunday’s, YRU is a ministry designed to be active in each teen’s life daily by offering the following:

  • Mentoring Program: in which teens are paired with young adults who share similar interests with them and offer college and career advice, occasional hangouts, and provide spiritual guidance.
  • Devotional Plans: youths are encouraged to engage in interactive devotion plans on the YouVersion Bible app.
  • Youth Choir and Band: a new birth of the ministry, blessed with anointed voices and instrumentalists who have been privileged to minister in other churches.

We also encourage our youths to use their talents to serve God early by serving in various other ministries throughout the church.

Events

Youth Weekend:

a time of fellowship, creativity and fun, planned and orchestrated by the youths, for the youths, held every last weekend in July.

Youth Night:

an opportunity for the youth to pray, socialize, and eat!, held quarterly on the last Friday of the month.

Vessels of Praise (VOP) is a dance ministry for children and youth ages 8 years of age and older. The vision and mission of this ministry is to encourage spiritual growth in the members and increase their knowledge of God while exalting Him through dance. To minister to and reach people through our worship.
